BMS Annual AAA Conference (ASPIRE - ACHIEVE - ACKNOWLEDGE)

The BMS annual AAA conference provides a networking opportunity for black medical students and doctors across the country. Whilst the importance of networking is often emphasised for those in other fields, its importance is often underplayed within medicine.

Black people within the medical community are doing some incredible things, however, these achievements often go unnoticed. This conference provides a platform to showcase and celebrate these individuals. In doing so, we hope to inspire and motivate others to also strive for greatness.

 Come along to enjoy a series of exciting talks from leading black clinicians. You can also get involved in a number of interactive workshops or showcase your work in the form of a poster or oral presentation.

BMS Medical School Interview Workshop (How to ace your interview)

In order to secure a medical school offer, applicants are expected to deliver an above-average interview performance. With so many fantastic applicants and so many different interview styles, how can you ensure you stand out from the crowd?

​

BMS offers an annual Medical School Interview Workshop to help prepare black medical school applicants for their future / upcoming interviews. It will feature a morning of interview hints and tips followed by an afternoon of mock interviews (based on your personal statement) with personalised feedback. You will get a chance to practice all interview styles, including traditional interview, group interview and MMI stations.
